The Ministry of Economy and Labour released the January 2022 Consumer Price Index from the Department of Statistics.
Consumers paid 2.5 per cent more in January 2022 than they did a year ago for the basket of goods and services included in the Consumer Price Index [CPI].
In summary, during January 2022, consumers paid 2.5 per cent more than they did in January 2021 for the basket of goods and services.
I am sad to report that Bermuda has had another coronavirus related death,” said Minister of Health, Kim Wilson, JP, MP. “I extend my condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”
Since the last update, the Ministry of Health received 7112 test results, and 147 were positive for the coronavirus, giving a test positivity rate of 2.06%.
These results are from testing done on:
· Wednesday: 31 positive out of 1957 results (1.6% positivity)
· Thursday: 25 positive out of 1622 results (1.5% positivity)
