The Minister of Health, the Hon. Kim Wilson, JP, MP, today stated, “The Ministry of Health is aware of an email purporting to be from Department of Health Bermuda which is currently circulating in the community stating that the Government has issued a STAY AT HOME order. The Minister of National Security, Renee Ming expressed concern about today’s shooting incident in St. George’s saying, “Regrettably we had a firearms incident in the midst of our Country’s fight against the latest Covid-19 outbreak.

COVID-19 Update Premier’s Remarks 30 March 2021

Good Evening Bermuda,

I am disappointed to have to start today’s press conference with the announcement of a shooting in St. George this afternoon. A male was shot and injured – his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening at this time. COVID-19 Update Minister of Health’s Remarks 30 March 2021

Good afternoon.

The Ministry of Health received 1036 test results since the last update, and 21 were positive for COVID-19. 

Ten of the new cases are classified as local transmission with known contact as they are associated with known cases.

The additional eleven new cases are classified as under investigation. These cases are among residents with no currently identified link to other known cases or history of travel in the past 14 days.

Additionally, since the last update, there were no recoveries.
