Programming Note – Conversations with Former Premiers
In an effort to capture some of the important aspects of Bermuda’s history, the Government advised that over the next few months, CITV will be airing a series of interviews with former Premiers of Bermuda.
Entitled Conversations with A Former Premier, the 45-minute show features three separate interviews with former Premiers Alex Scott, Sir John Swan, and Dr. Ewart Brown.
The interviews are being carried on CITV as part of its fall progamming line-up (see programme schedule below).
Government Clarifies the Board of Agriculture’s Purpose and Membership
To correct a recent statement made to the media by the Farmers Association, currently, the Board of Agriculture (the Board) has a maximum of twelve members, and 50 per cent of those are registered commercial farmers focusing on in-ground crop production, organic type farming, and dairy and microgreen production.

August 2022 Consumer Price Index
Consumers paid 4.7 per cent more in August 2022 than they did a year ago for the basket of goods and services included in the Consumer Price Index [CPI].
The Ministry of Economy and Labour released the August 2022 CPI from the Department of Statistics.
“In summary, during August 2022, consumers paid 4.7 per cent more than they did a year ago for the basket of goods and services included in the CPI. This level of inflation increased 0.2 percentage points from the July 2022 annual inflation rate of 4.5 per cent.
